Years ago, in the back room of Black Boar, someone signed the wall. No one can remember who was first but, it definitely started a trend. Rico Diks is seen here climbing down from his signature moment.
Funny...Tony says the same thing everyday.
Tony and Bill have been friends for a long time. Tony admires Bill and has been grateful for his professional advice throughout his cuemaking career.
If you look close you'll see signatures of Jimmy Fusco, Grady Matthews, Dave Bollman, Barry Szamboti and Burton Spain.
Sadly, "The Miz" passed away in May 2006, truly a deeply felt loss is the pool community. Tony says, "A Legendary Visitor."
A great friend of Tony's! Owner of Barley's American Outpost in Lansing, Michigan and a Black Boar or two.
So the story goes, one day, years ago, there were a gaggle of women around the Black Boar shop, most of them with substantial racks. Someone noted the fact and a suggestion was made to make it a club, officially named "The Black Boar Big Breasted Bimbos." Poor Amanda, there at the time, wasn't as blessed so she became the honorary co-founder!
And really, are either she or Tony in a position to be gambling with their marbles? Explains a lot if you ask me!
Freddy Boggs signed the wall 9 years ago, almost to the day. High praise from a tough cue customer!
Freddy once told me, The Black Boar Historian, "You only need 3 things in life. A good car, a good bed, and good shoes. Because you'll spend 99% of your life using one of those 3 things."
Thank you, Freddy, for the advice, and the (ever practical) dated signature!
Freddy and Scotty Boggs were both local legends... not the easiest action around...
At one time Dieter was the European Black Boar Dealer. Dieter first introduced Tony to Francisco Bustamante.
Danny's always fun to have around! We hope he's recovering well from his recent health issues.
