After much research, foriegn correspondence, and a little help from his friends (the Black Boar way...is anybody seeing a theme here?), Tony discovered that without a doubt the world's finest pastas and olive oils come from the Abruzzi region of Italy. This discovery was all the richer in light of the fact that both of Anthony Sciannella's parents were born in the Abruzzi region. Truly, this was a coincidence stumbled upon in the research process.

The Abruzzo region is one of the prettiest in Italy. Bordered by the Apennines to the west and fringed by the Adriatic on the east, it has some of Italy’s most unspoiled scenery. Largely untouched by tourism and modern commerce, Abruzzi remains true to old world charm. The culture is ruled by tradition and passion for quality and beauty.

So, it seems that Tony comes by his passion naturally, who'd have thunk it???
