- Cue Details: Tony made my cue 5 years ago or so, along with Doug Sharp's. 6 points with mother pearl into ivory into pink ivory into ivory again. 4 layers of inlays. Tony says, "This cue is worth a great deal. This is a very rare feature." The cue hits magnificent.
I also have one of the, if not the prettiest, 8 point Boars made(pictures coming soon)---according to me, Doug Sharp, Bob Harris and a few other opinionated players. It is gorgeous. I hit one rack of balls with it when I first got it. I ran out without missing. Then I took the cue apart and put it into the vault and it has never been hit with again. I have showed the cue to most of the local players. When they see it most flip out over the beauty and they also have a tendency to flip out over the price. They say that there ain't no cue around worth $10K or more-- that they would play with. I tell them that they are right and that the cue is not played with. Amen to that.....
- Player Credits:I've participated in the Planet Pool tour for years (since its conception) and actually owned the tour for 3-4 years before I sold it to Nick Prinsloo. I had my best year in 2006 with an 18th ranking in the points. I just missed the Elite 16 by 100 or so points. I play in about 1 to 2 pro events a year... when I feel dead in stroke......Regular at the U.S. Open. I was the University of Maryland Billiard Team for 3 straight years (1980-1982). We went to the Nationals twice. (There was only one player on the team)
- Occupation:Real Estate Broker with 3 RE/MAX Offices in Maryland. I take care of all the pool players real estate needs. I also invest in rental homes and in foreclosures, buy, fix and flip depending on the market.
- Personal Stuff:I have many friends but I consider Tony (Black Boar) and Doug Sharp my closest friends in the Billiard arena. These guys are down to earth and true professionals in their field of expertise. Doug with his top notch billiard instruction that I consider second to none in the industry. I rely on him enormously for his analysis and insight into the game and particularly into my stoke and strategy.
And of course Tony....What can you say, the guy has a direct line to JC. He is the master of cue perfection-- in the way it plays, and in the way it looks. I have seen nothing that comes close to the beauty he creates. And I have never played with a better hitting cue. How could I consider speaking to anyone else about cues when he is so generous with his time and sharing of information?
